Sample Copyright Notices

AusGOAL recommends that copyright notices on organisational websites be harmonised with content licensed under the Creative Commons licences.  This can be done a variety of ways.  For example, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Geoscience Australia have modified their copyright statements such that all content has been licensed under CC BY, by default.  Organisations should avoid circumstances where CC licensed content exists on a website, but the copyright notice contains clauses that operate against the terms of the CC licensed content.
